In January 2010, Belzona demonstrated the outstanding performance of Belzona 1251 (HA-Metal) by suspending a Mercedes SL500 AMG above a Mercedes S320 CDI.
The material was applied to a bonding area with a diameter of only 75 mm and cured immediately before lifting.
With the Mercedes weighing more than 2.2 tons and only a minimal amount of adhesive material used, the demonstration showed that Belzona 1251 (HA-Metal) is capable of supporting more than 1.8 million times its own weight.
